Plant up with a hyacinth bulb for a fragrant and pretty display. Line the vase with plastic and put a small quantity of gravel in the bottom for drainage then fill with compost a plant a hyacinth bulb in. Fill the gaps in the sides and the top with moss. Water sparingly. Three cabbage vases in a row make a great mantelpiece or window sill display.
